October 10: MOLLIE JOYCE PARK Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony 3pm. Our club was involved in making the ballfield. We will be getting recognized for our contributions, conception, construction for the upper ballfield and continued support to this park. Our club was the first to start the upper ballfield many - many years ago. The "Ribbon Cutting" ceremony will be on Thursday, October 10 at 3:00pm. If your schedule permits, please plan to attend. And wear your club vest. To be ready for this special ceremony, our club has a new Landscaping Project around the outside of the Playground area and that needs to be completed by Oct 8, 2019. Lion Steve is the Chair for this project. Our club board has approved the cost of approx 20 yards of BARK for landscaping. The bark was delivered to Mollie Joyce Park. Lion Steve has scheduled a Lion Member work day on this Saturday 9/28 starting at 9:00 am. If you can come and help with the Landscaping project, let myself or Lion Steve know. Bring gloves, racks, wheelbarrows, shovels & bottle water. ~ Lion/Prez Nancy
